In my previous position as a library professional in education I planned, organized, trained, and worked with a wide variety of people at various levels of skill in locating and using needed information.
As a public librarian working with children and youth, I was a strong advocate of literacy, family use of the library and finding ways to connect the library with its community.
I have experience producing desktop newsletters, managing social media to promote a cause or a business, and similar communications/promotional/marketing type task.
Additional skills and expertise include being a published author, an accomplished public speaker through years of experience as a professional storyteller, a library consultant, and many hours of continuing education workshops in customer service, children's services, and research and paper writing.
I have a bachelor's degree in history and a master's in library and information studies, both from the University of Oklahoma. I am committed, hardworking, and apply myself to finding innovative answers to challenging issues.
