B. READING A PICTURE BOOK TO CHILDREN
Volunteer readers contribute to a child's life at school, local library or in a special program.  Most volunteers have no idea how to share a book in a manner they will enjoy and the kids will like. This program teaches the basic skills of selecting read aloud picture books, reading it and discussing it with children.

What you will learn:

  • What is a picture book and how to find a good one to read aloud
  • Basics of reading aloud a picture book
  • Basics of discussing a picture book with a child

C. SAVE OUR STORIES: HISTORY AS A TOOL
Businesses, communities, and churches all have stories to tell.  Often those stories are locked away in failing memories, spider infested storage or reduced to mere facts and numbers.  In this workshop learn how to identify, locate, gather, and share the stories to make your organization's past come alive!
